NX might be transferable to diverse NEXON games under one and the same account of a customer, being restricted in use to that account only. NX can not be transferred between different customer accounts.

History

Nexon Co. Ltd. was established in Korea on December 1994 where it published its first title, Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds, in 1996. Many title releases followed such as Dark Ages: Online Roleplaying, Elemental Saga, QuizQuiz, KartRider, Elancia, and Shattered Galaxy; some of which are maintained by a company spun off of Nexon, Kru Interactive. In 2003, Nexon developed MapleStory in Korea, which later became its most successful title.The game was localized in many locations such as Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, North America, Europe, Brazil, and Vietnam.

Originally founded in Korea, Nexon Co. Ltd. is currently based in Japan. Nexon Co. Ltd. has four corporations running; they are located in Korea, Japan, United States, and Europe.

Nexon currently has eleven subsidiaries: Nexon Networks, Nexon Mobile, NeoPle, Nextoric, Nexonova, GameHi, NDoors, CoPersons, Nclipse, ExcGames, and Xeogen.

Nexon went public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on December 13, 2011 in an initial public offering, the largest in Japan for 2011 and the second largest by a technological company for 2011 worldwide.

Nexon's mother company is in Korea.

Developed by award-winning multiplayer studio, Splash Damage, and published by Nexon America, Extraction is a Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter (MOFPS) which will be available in North America and Europe, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Extraction combines tactical gameplay, fast-paced action and an ever-expanding roster of playable characters to create a highly competitive team-oriented shooter. Players can choose from dozens of unique roles with different playing styles and abilities, and fight in teams to defeat their opponents by defending or attacking key objectives. Set in evacuated London following a mysterious radiological attack, elite squads of mercenaries secretly unite in the city’s abandoned streets to extract the valuable information left behind. Extraction offers a fair and balanced playing field, achieved through ECHO, a powerful analytics and telemetry system.

There are two types of NX:

NX Prepaid

NX Prepaid is purchased using Karma Koin cards or PayByCash. There are no restrictions for NX Prepaid.

NX Credit

NX Credit is purchased using a credit card, PayPal, or Charge Mobile, or may be earned via the Earn Free NX program. NX Credit cannot be used for certain items in Nexon games. Full details can be found under “NX Credit Restrictions”
